Security dogs are trained to pick up on intruders or hidden persons by, scent, sight or sound, to protect their handler by standing their ground and showing controlled aggression. When confronted with threatening behaviour they are able to detain a suspect until the authorities arrive to deal with the situation.

Security dog guarding is one of the most effective solutions to guarding people, premises and property.

Our Guard Dog Patrols represent the highest level of canine training.

Our dogs are under the control of the dog handler at all times. Their function is to alert our handler of any human intruder and protect the handler where necessary. An experience dog patrol unit can be equally effective as up to two static security. not only providing a visual deterrent, dogs have powerful hearing and scent senses and are able to search and find human presence better than up to two static guards. Guard dogs are invaluable in searching and securing large areas.

For security officers, we also offer a police dog handler program for all handling personnel. We train you in the proper handling and how to work effectively with your dogs. Our training programs are customized for each dog handler. Teamk9’s Handler Training is delivered by Police dog trainers and handlers with over 100 years’ experience, and we encourage handlers to attend once week continuation training so the dog and handler offer the best protection.

Teamk9 handlers are taught beyond the industries standard training, we hope by the end of training each Dog handler will have achieved the same standards set by Police dog handlers, at both on lead and of lead handling, and article retrieval.

Many Clients prefer to have a more of a hands on feel when it comes to protecting there business, they want to know when they have an Alarm Activation and go out and visit there premises.

With an Escorted Visit you will get an uniformed officer on your site there for added Security, many of the times they will be there before you and would have carried out an immediate outside search on your arrival. Then they are there for your safety.

There maybe times when the key holder cannot get to the building, we will then pick the key holder up and escort them, offering total protection.

Alarm Response and Key Holding

Our Dog handlers are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in the event of your alarm being activated or a member of staff being locked out. Our aim is to be at your premises within 20 minutes. On arrival, we will conduct a security check of the property, reset the alarm, or wait on site for an engineer if required. We can also arrange emergency contractors should urgent repair work be required.

An increasing number of businesses understand the risks associated with having their own employees as a key holder. With this in mind, more companies are now opting to manage this risk by outsourcing their key holding to a professional security company.

Once we are set as your key holding company, we can then offer an alarm response service, Teamk9 will hold the keys to your property and we will respond to all callouts whether they are an Alarm Response or a pre-planned attendance.

Our Mobile Patrol Service provides a complete low cost security solution ensuring stability and continuity of business. The spot checks provided by our Dog handler patrol service prevent criminal activity, as there is no pattern to when our officers patrol the building. With check points placed at agreed inspection points, our officers read these inspection points with their mobile phone so a full record of when they patrolled the site is recorded.

Our guards perform regular external and/or internal mobile patrols, and opening and closing premises, as well as attending to alarm activations.
